Reapplication procedures

During Spring quarter, an announcement for application of funds for new and renewing workshops will be sent to the faculty in the Humanities and Social Sciences divisions. Current workshops will be invited to renew by submitting a proposal by mid-April following the Council’s Guidelines. Decisions will be announced by the end of the Spring quarter to the faculty sponsors.

End-of-year report

It is important for us to be able to assess the success of the workshop program. Therefore, as a condition of the use of these funds, you must submit a report at the end of the academic year describing the organization and activities of your workshop and evaluating its success in providing a context for advanced graduate work. A re-application for funding will suffice as an end-of-year report. Please keep a record of all workshop activities, including a list of participants, schedules and announcements. Workshops that do not intend to renew should submit a full report by the end of Spring quarter.

Final expenses and budget

Please submit final expenses for your workshop as described earlier. Any remaining funds in your budget will be returned to the Council budget to fund the following year’s workshop program. If your budget is overdrawn, your award for the following year, if approved, will be debited.
