University of Chicago
Renaissance Workshop
Meetings: alternate Mondays 5:00-6:30 in Rosenwald 405
Welcome to the Renaissance Workshop
We are an interdisciplinary workshop dedicated to the discussion of a wide range of topics
concerning the arts and culture of the Renaissance period including: literature, visual art, music,
religion, politics, overseas exploration and much more. We meet on alternate Mondays throughout the
academic year. The workshop serves as a forum for graduate students to receive feedback on
dissertation chapters, mock job talks and other significant work. We also enjoy discussions
of pre-circulated papers by both University of Chicago faculty and visitors from
institutions around the country.
