Amy Babinec

Amy Babinec's project, collectively titled Belleville, consists of a variety of elements including paintings, drawings and videos. The project investigates the way memory affects the perception of the real. Babinec's paintings of blue-collar bars, constructed from surreptitious video footage, track her gaze as she explores these once-forbidden places with trepidation, fascination, and fear.
