Graduate Workshops in the Humanities and Social Sciences

Formal Philosophy

In the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, there has been an explosion in the use of mathematical and symbolic techniques to address philosophical problems. This workshop provides a forum in which such techniques can be critically studied, developed, and their usefulness to broader philosophical issues assessed. Possible topics include logic, philosophy of mathematics, formal epistemology, and the philosophy of science.
