Interdisciplinary Archaeology Workshop

2007-2008

Haskell Mezzanine 102

WORKSHOP THEME

The primary objective of the Interdisciplinary Archaeology Workshop is to forge a lively and respectful dialogue on aspects of method and theory that crosscuts diverse disciplinary boundaries. “Object Worlds” will be the centerpiece of a series of explorations to be held in various formats throughout the year. Our goal will be to understand human materiality from a wide array of perspectives. The workshop unites faculty and students from Anthropology and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, as well as members of other departments and committees such as Art History, Classics, the Ancient Mediterranean World, East Asian, South Asia, and Geographical Studies. All interested participants are encouraged to attend.
