THE MIDDLE EAST HISTORY AND THEORY CONFERENCE serves as a forum for students and faculty in the humanities and social sciences to present papers treating Middle Eastern and Central Asian culture, art/architecture, society, history and politics from the 7th century to the present. Papers presented have spanned the centuries from before the rise of Islam to the present and have covered a wide geographical area. This has resulted in a mixed and diverse body of attendees.
