Monday evening May 17th 2010 the Social Theory Workshop will welcome Robert Stern, to present his paper “The Sources and Structures of Law: Analogical Reasoning and the Province of Positivist Jurisprudence Re-determined.” The meeting will be held at 8:00 pm in Wilder House (5811 S Kenwood Ave). All are welcome.
The paper will be sent to members of the workshop listserve later this week. Others who would like a copy of the paper should contact Robin Bates (rdbates@uchicago.edu).
The next meeting of the Social Theory Workshop will be held on Monday evening April 19th 2010 when Stacie Hanneman (History) will present her dissertation proposal “To change China: logics and practices of a global system in the making.” The workshop will be begin at 8:00 pm in Wilder House (5811 S. Kenwood Ave.)
