The Transnational Approaches to Modern Europe Workshop brings together an interdisciplinary group of University of Chicago PhD students, faculty, and outside scholars to discuss the methodology and practice of transnational and comparative research on the European continent.

The workshop meets every other Wednesday throughout the school year. We read and discuss drafts of dissertation chapters and proposals by University of Chicago students as well as articles and chapter drafts by invited outside scholars. Papers are pre-circulated one week before the workshop here and on Canvas.
