The Rhetoric and Poetics Workshop is concerned with the literature of classical Greece and Rome, considered either on its own terms or in relation to the literature and poetry of other cultures.  It invites presentation of critical arguments completed or in progress from the broadest possible range of perspectives.  The Workshop meets approximately five times per quarter, on Thursday afternoons at 3:30 in the Classics Seminar Room (Classics 21).  Faculty sponsors for 2012-13 are Shadi Bartsch-Zimmer, 2-4847 <sbartsch@uchicago.edu> and Michele Lowrie, 4-8516 <mlowrie@uchicago.edu>.
